Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Music-To-Sheet ("the App", "we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using Music-To-Sheet, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1 What Music-To-Sheet Is
Music-To-Sheet is an AI-assisted audio transcription tool for personal, educational, and non-commercial use. The App converts audio recordings into sheet music notation using machine learning. It is not a licensing platform, a rights clearance service, or a tool for the commercial reproduction of copyrighted works.
The App is designed to help musicians transcribe their own original work, learn melodies by ear, study public domain compositions, and practice reading notation.
2 Your Responsibility for Uploaded Content
You are solely responsible for all audio you upload or submit to the App. By doing so, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the audio, or have obtained all rights, licences, and permissions necessary to process it through the App.
- Your use does not violate any applicable law or any third-party right, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.
- You will not use the App to reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit copyrighted material without authorisation from the rights holder.
We do not claim ownership over any audio you upload. You retain all rights to your original recordings. We acquire no licence to your content beyond what is strictly necessary to perform the transcription you requested.
3 Derivative Work Notice
Sheet music generated from a copyrighted recording or composition may constitute a derivative work under applicable copyright law. Creating a derivative work without the authorisation of the copyright holder may infringe their exclusive rights under 17 U.S.C. § 106 (US) or equivalent provisions in other jurisdictions.
4 No AI Training on Your Audio
Your audio is never used to train, fine-tune, benchmark, or improve any AI or machine learning model — ours or anyone else's. Each conversion is performed solely for you as an individual and is not shared with, or reused for, any other user. This commitment is unconditional and does not vary by subscription tier.
5 Ephemeral Audio Processing
Audio files submitted to the App are processed on a strictly temporary basis:
- Audio is transmitted to our servers solely to perform pitch detection and transcription.
- Standard files are processed in under 60 seconds.
- Audio files are permanently and irrecoverably deleted from our servers immediately upon completion of processing.
- We do not retain, cache, back up, or archive copies of your audio for any purpose.
- We have no ability to retrieve your audio after processing is complete.

7 AI Output Accuracy Disclaimer
Sheet music generated by the App is produced by AI and is interpretive, not authoritative. Output may contain errors including incorrect pitch detection, inaccurate rhythm or timing, missing notes in complex passages, and key or time signature errors. Generated output should be reviewed and corrected by a qualified musician before any reliance upon it. We make no warranty that output is musically accurate or complete.
8 DMCA & Copyright Compliance
Music-To-Sheet respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. We will respond promptly to valid notices of claimed copyright infringement. To file a notice, see our Copyright Policy.
We reserve the right to remove or disable access to any content or output that we believe, in our sole discretion, infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
9 Account Termination
Either you or we may terminate your account at any time.
- You: You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. All account data is permanently deleted within 30 days of your request.
- Us (for cause): We may suspend or permanently terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in copyright infringement, abuse our systems, or act in a way that harms other users or Music-To-Sheet. Where feasible, we will warn you before terminating. Repeated or egregious violations may result in immediate termination without notice.
- Inactive accounts: Accounts deactivated by us are retained for 60 days to allow recovery, then permanently deleted.
- Upon termination for cause, any outstanding subscription is cancelled and no refund will be issued for the unused portion of the billing period.
10 Repeat Infringer Policy
We operate a three-strike policy for copyright infringement:
- Strike 1: Written warning; infringing output disabled.
- Strike 2: Account suspended for a minimum of 30 days.
- Strike 3: Permanent account termination, no refund.
We may skip strikes and proceed to immediate permanent termination where infringement is willful, commercial, or involves a substantial volume of copyrighted works.
