Delete Your Account & Data
This page explains how to permanently delete your Music-To-Sheet account and all associated data. You can request deletion whether or not you still have access to the app.
What Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, we permanently delete the following data associated with your account:
- Account information (name, email, country, profile details)
- All conversion history (uploaded track names, generated sheet music, favorites)
- Rights declarations associated with your uploads
- Purchase and subscription records (retained only where required by law for tax or accounting purposes, typically up to 7 years)
- Usage and diagnostic data linked to your account
Audio files you uploaded are never retained — they are deleted immediately after processing completes (see our Privacy Policy for details).
How to Delete Your Account
There are two ways to request account deletion:
Option 1: In-App Deletion (Fastest)
- Open the Music-To-Sheet app
- Go to Settings → Profile → Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion
- Your account is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted within 30 days
Option 2: Email Request
If you no longer have access to the app, email us at support@musictosheet.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include:
- The email address associated with your account
- Confirmation that you want your account and all associated data deleted
We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days, as required by applicable data protection law. You will receive an email confirmation once deletion is complete.
Data Retention After Deletion
After your deletion request is processed:
- Account and profile data: Permanently deleted within 30 days
- Conversion history and uploads: Permanently deleted within 30 days
- Backup copies: Purged from all backups within an additional 30 days
- Purchase records: Retained only where required by law (e.g., tax records for 7 years), in anonymised form only
